Tech giant HUAWEI today officially launched its newest attractive tablet with PC-like capabilities in the Philippines, MatePad 11.5 (2025).

The back design

The HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 (2025) arrives in a premium metallic body available in Violet and Space Grey, exuding a sleek and modern aesthetic.

The PaperMatte Display

The primary feature is the 11.5-inch PaperMatte Display, crafted with nano-level etching and magnetron nano optical coating. This results in an anti-glare, anti-reflective screen that mimics the tactile feel of writing and sketching on actual paper, making it good for creatives and note-taking.

The display boasts a crisp 2456 x 1600 resolution, 60 to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 100 percent sRGB color accuracy, 16.7 million colors, and an 86 percent of screen-to-body ratio. With up to 600 nits of peak brightness, it’s built for vibrant visuals in any lighting condition.

Moreover, it has the polarized light technology to simulate natural light, offering softer and more evenly dispersed illumination. This resulted in SGS Low Visual Fatigue Premium Performance 2.0, TÜV Rheinland Circular Polarization, and TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light and Flicker-Free certifications for eye comfort and protection.

To complete the multimedia experience, the tablet is equipped with quad-speakers and dual microphones enhanced by HUAWEI Histen 9.0 Sound Effect for immersive audio.

The key specs

The device arrived in GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of internal storage—ample for multitasking and media.

It also has a 10,100mAh battery that promises up to 14 hours of use and supports 40W HUAWEI SuperCharge via USB-C, delivering a full charge in 90 minutes or a quick top-up in just 30.

Despite being labeled as a productivity tablet, HUAWEI didn't skimp on its cameras as well. The device has a 13MP autofocus rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and an LED flash at the back and an 8MP sensor in front that you can use for selfies and clear video calls.

Connectivity is solid with WiFi 6 (2.4GHz/5GHz) 2x2 MIMO and Bluetooth 5.2. 

PC-level accessories, software

The tablet supports the HUAWEI M-Pencil (3rd Generation), which charges wirelessly and works seamlessly with the GoPaint app—ideal for artists and designers

Meanwhile, the detachable HUAWEI Smart Keyboard offers PC and Split modes, 1.5mm key travel, and function keys for laptop-level productivity. This pairs nicely with the WPS 2.0 PC-level app for docs, spreadsheets, presentations, and more.
