Netflix's surprise megahit movie of the year, KPOP Demon Hunters, is now the most-watched movie on its platform ever.

A record-breaking achievement
According to the company, the movie achieved a whopping 236 million views. It bested Red Notice with 230.9 million views and Carry-On with 172.1 million.
This success follows the new trend of megahit series from South Korea, such as Squid Game and All of Us Are Dead. But, this is the first South Korean film in the top 10, impressively at number 1 in just two months since release.
Moreover, KPop Demon Hunters also led all films over the weeken with USD 16 to 18 million ticket sales in the US, a rare win for Netflix according to Reuters.

Meanwhile, the animated film also produced the current Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper Golden by HUNTR/X: EJAE, Audrey Nuna & REI AMI at number 1. Itn is followed by Your Idol at number 4 and Soda Pop by fictional group Saja Boys at number 4 and 5 as well as How It's Done by HUNTR/X: EJAE, Audrey Nuna & REI AMI at number 10.
