No extra fees

The country's top mobile wallet provider GCash announced that it will be using InstaPay for cash-ins starting October 1 with no extra fees.

Basically, all direct cash-in transactions will be processed via InstaPay, following a directive from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP)

What is this for?

The move aims to standardize fund transfers across digital platforms, ensuring faster, more secure, and transparent transactions nationwide.

The good news? GCash won't charge any additional fees for direct cash-ins under the new InstaPay model. However, users are advised to check with their respective banks, as partner institutions may update their service fees depending on their policies.

We remain committed to keeping our services safe, seamless, and affordable, while working with partner banks and regulators to serve you better.

GCash advises users to "please check with your banks for transition schedules and updated service fees."

To recap, InstaPay is a safe, fast, and efficient digital payment method for individuals and businesses.
