Coming from the HONOR X9c 5G earlier this year, the new HONOR X9d 5G promises to bring an even tougher build, upgraded processor, and a much larger battery capacity.

In particular, this handset now features an ultra-tough tempered glass with an industry-first multilayer cushioning design with a ballistic-grade layer for enhanced shock absorption. It is certified drop-resistant up to 2.5 meters with 112 percent improvement in impact durability versus the previous generation durability tech.

Moreover, it now comes with IP66/IP68/IP69K dust and water resistance, the highest in the industry. The company claims that this can survive up to 85 degrees Celsius of high-temperature water, 24 hours of high-humidity salt-rich environments, and 10,000 water exposure cycles.

Moreover, it has a One Tap Dust and Water Ejection to automatically eject dust and water with a single tap, Rainproof Touch Control, and Glove Friendly Touch Control.

The next upgrade is that it now sports the newer and faster 2.3GHz 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 octa-core processor, coming from the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1.

The biggest upgrade is the battery. The device is now sporting a MASSIVE 8,300mAh battery capacity compared to the 6,600mAh battery of the X9c. This is the largest Silicon Carbon battery in the industry yet, which can last up to 3 days on a single charge.

Aside from being huge, the company claims that it has up to 6 years of reliable battery performance and could be charged using the USB-C 66W SuperCharge tech.

This could also be used as a power bank for convenient on-the-go charging.

Despite that massive battery upgrade, it is also 4 grams heavier than the previous generation model.

Keeping the performance in check is its VC Ice Cooling System with 5th-gen hexagonal graphite with ultra-light stainless steel for faster and more efficient heat dissipation.
