iOS users can now pay via GCash with HUAWEI Watch

Following its initial launch on HUAWEI and Android devices earlier this year, the GCash tap-to-pay is now available for iOS users.

With this technology, Apple iOS users (iPhone, iPad) can now get a secure QR code on their wrist on compatible HUAWEI Watches. 

It includes HUAWEI WATCH GT 4 & 5 Series, HUAWEI WATCH FIT 3 & 4 Series, HUAWEI WATCH D2, HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate, the HUAWEI Band 10, and future HUAWEI wearables.

The feature is coming soon for the Watch 5 Serie.

How to access GCash Watch Pay on iOS and Android Devices:

• Download the HUAWEI Health app from the smartphone’s app store.
• Create a HUAWEI ID through the HUAWEI Health app, ensuring the region is set to the Philippines.
• Connect the HUAWEI Health app to the HUAWEI smartwatch.
• Open the GCash mobile app and ensure the account is fully verified.
• On the HUAWEI smartwatch, navigate to Settings > Payment.
• Locate and install the GCash app on the smartwatch, then open it.
• Enter the GCash PIN and scan the QR code displayed on the GCash mobile app.
• Select Bind on the GCash mobile app.

For HUAWEI Smartphones:

• Log in to their HUAWEI ID on their HUAWEI phone, ensuring the region is set to the Philippines.
• Connect the HUAWEI Health app to the HUAWEI smartwatch.
• Open the GCash mobile app and ensure the account is fully verified.
• On the HUAWEI smartwatch, navigate to Settings > Payment.
• Locate and install the GCash app on the smartwatch, then open it.
• Enter the GCash PIN and scan the QR code displayed on the GCash mobile app.
• Select Bind on the GCash mobile app.

After successful linking, confirmation will appear on both the GCash app and the smartwatch.

Once linked to a HUAWEI smartwatch or fitness band, a user’s GCash account generates a dynamic QR code right on the wrist—enabling instant, wallet-free payments for coffee, commute fares, and more.

With expanded support for iOS, Android, and HUAWEI phones, GCash Watch Pay lets more Filipinos enjoy fast, tap-to-pay convenience—right from their wrist.
