Most Affordable Toyota HEV yet?

The Toyota Vios, now rebranded as the ATIV for the Philippine market, has been a cornerstone of the local automotive landscape since its introduction in 2003. Over two decades, it has solidified its position as the leading subcompact sedan, with sales exceeding 1.5 million units by 2023.

The fourth-generation Vios (now called ATIV), with its hybrid variant, represents a significant evolution, aligning with Toyota's commitment to sustainable mobility while maintaining its reputation for reliability and affordability.

The all-new ATIV Hybrid Electric Vehicle integrates a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with Toyota's self-charging hybrid system, offering a combined power output of approximately 91 horsepower and a seamless electric mode operation for short urban trips.

It yields a combined output of 109 PS, delivering a fuel efficiency of approximately 25km/L, with front-wheel drive and self-charging capability.

The HEV variant measures 4,425 x 1,730 x 1,475mm, with a 2,650mm wheelbase, and weighs 1,150kg. It has a 133mm ground clearance and is equipped with a MacPherson strut front and torsion beam rear suspension that should ensure stability and comfort.
