Leak: Alleged realme Neo 8 to arrive with SD 8 Gen 5 and 8,000mAh+ battery

A recent leak suggests the realme Neo 8 could be among the upcoming smartphones equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor.

The next high-end contender with a large battery?

The information for an unnamed realme model was detailed by tipster Digital Chat Station, with industry speculation pointing to the device being the Neo 8.

Based on the leak, the phone is rumored to contain a 6.78-inch flat OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution, accompanied by an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. 

At its core, the device is reportedly equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, paired with a MASSIVE silicon-based battery around 8,000mAh, which would contribute to extended battery performance.

For its camera, the device is expected to use a 50MP main sensor. The phone is also anticipated to ship with the realme UI 7 interface, based on Android 16, though this was not confirmed in the leak.

The Neo 8 would succeed the Dimensity 9300 Plus-powered Realme Neo 7, which was released in December 2024. This precedent suggests a potential unveiling for the new model in the coming month.

The Neo 8 series is also rumored to include a variant powered by a Dimensity 8500 chipset, potentially named the realme Neo 8 SE, with a launch window in the first quarter of 2026.

In separate launch events, realme is introducing the realme GT 8 Pro to global markets. The phone is set to debut in India on November 20, followed by a release in Europe on November 24.
