The new HONOR Magic8 Pro entered the top 5 of DxOMark's mobile camera ranking by beating the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL and HUAWEI Pura 70 Ultra.

It scored 170 points in Photo and 154 points in Video for an average score of 164 points, earning it a Gold 2026 rating.
Other phones in the top 5 are the vivo X200 Ultra with 167 points, iPhone 17 Pro with 168 points, OPPO Find X8 Ultra with 168 points, and HUAWEI Pura 80 Ultra with 175 points.
According to DxOMark, the HONOR Magic8 Pro delivers accurate target exposure with a wide dynamic range in photos and videos, and is good at detail preservation even at long telephoto ranges, mostly neutral white balance, and low noise.
Overall, it offers a well-rounded camera experience with strong exposure performance and pleasant color rendering.
The testing lab added that while it has some limitations in video consistency, low light performance, and autofocus reliability in complex scenes, it remains a capable and versatile camera solution for most users.

To recap, HONOR Magic8 Pro is equipped with a 50MP f/1.6 main camera with a 1/1.13-inch sensor with OIS, a 50MP f/2.0 ultra-wide camera, and a 200MP f/2.6 1/1.4-inch 3.7x telephoto with up to 100x digital zoom.
DxO hasn't tested its 50MP selfie camera with 3D helper yet.
Other popular new camera-focused flagships like the vivo X300 Pro, OPPO Find X8 Pro, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and Mate 80 Pro Max are not yet on this list.
