HONOR Magic 8 Pro (Global) launched: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 200MP periscope camera, 7,100mAh battery

After the China launch, the HONOR Magic 8 Pro goes official for global markets.

In particular, it first arrived in Malaysia, with other countries to follow.

To recap, the Magic 8 Pro is among the first devices to feature the latest Qualcomm flagship chip, while also offering upgraded cameras.

In terms of design, the phone is available in the color options of Black, Sunrise Gold, and Sky Cyan. Additionally, it has an IP68/69/69K dust and water resistance rating.

The display

It features a 6.71-inch LTPO OLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 2808 x 1256 and a 120Hz refresh rate. Honor claims the display can achieve a peak HDR brightness of up to 6,000 nits.

The device is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, paired with an Adreno 840 GPU. It is available in configurations offering up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage.

The cameras

The global model houses a 7,100mAh battery with USB-C 100W wired charging and 80W wireless charging.

In the camera department, it uses a  50MP f/1.6 main camera with a  1/1.13-inch sensor and OIS + 50MP f/2.0 ultra-wide camera + 200MP f/2.6 1/1.4-inch 3.7x telephoto with up to 100x digital zoom.

For selfies, the phone uses a 50MP camera assisted by a 3D depth helper.

For connectivity, the phone supports WiFi 7, 5G, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, AGPS, Galileo, GLONASS, Beidou, NFC, OTG, and dual SIM.

Software is handled by Android 16 with MagicOS 10 skin on top.
