HONOR Magic8 Pro announced: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 7,200mAh battery, plenty of AI

As expected, the handset arrived with bleeding-edge specs with some of the most impressive overall numbers and a wide array of AI features.

The device features the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC paired with up to 1TB UFS 3.0 and 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, which allowed the phone to record a whopping 4.28 million AnTuTu score.
The next upgrade is that it now has up to 7,200mAh Si-C battery, a major leap from the 5,850mAh of its predecessor. However, it is a bit smaller for the global market at 7,100mAh. Probably due to international regulations on batteries, the European version will only come with a 6,270mAh battery.
In China, the phone has up to 120W fast charging. Globally, it is at 100W. The wireless charging support is up to 80W when you use HONOR's proprietary wireless charger.
The other new thing about this phone is that it now has a dedicated AI button that could be used as a shortcut for its YOYO assistant, double as a camera button, and a shortcut for other phone functions.
Not much has changed in its camera system. But on paper, HONOR dropped the variable aperture feature of its main 50MP camera and replaced it with a fixed f/1.6 aperture lens.
The rest of the back cameras include a 50MP f/2.0 122-degree Ultra Wide with 2.5cm macro and a 200MP f/2.6 3.7x Telephoto shooter. This camera system can do up to 100x digital zoom.
For selfies, it has a 50MP f/2.0 snapper as well. Both back and front camera systems can record up to 4K 60fps videos.
