To recap, the new device is slimmer than its previous model, the Mate X6. It now measures at 9.5mm when folded and 4.5mm when unfolded, with a weight of 235 grams and a retained aluminum frame.
It is available in Black, White, Purple, and Red color options. Moreover, the device carries IP58 and IP59 ratings, offering dust resistance and protection against water splashes and close-range, high-pressure water jets.

The Mate X7 features larger displays, including a 6.49-inch cover screen and an 8-inch main screen. Both utilize LTPO OLED technology with a 1–120Hz variable refresh rate and 1,440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
Inside the Mate X7 is the Kirin 9030 Pro chipset, which was also used in the recently launched Mate 80 Pro and Mate 80 Pro Max.
The said chipset is reported to feature a nine-core ARMv8 architecture, with a prime core clocked at 2.75GHz, four performance cores at 2.27GHz, and four efficiency cores at 1.72GHz.

Furthermore, it is paired with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and offers up to 1TB of storage.
Powering the device is a large 5,600mAh battery, which supports a USB-C 66W SuperCharge adaptor and 50W wireless charging.
For cameras, the Mate X7 is equipped with a 50MP main camera featuring an RYYB sensor, a 10-stop physical variable aperture (f/1.4–f/4.0), and optical image stabilization (OIS).
The telephoto camera has been updated to a 50MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and 3.5x optical zoom. For ultra-wide, it uses a 40MP sensor, while both the cover and inner screens house 8MP front-facing cameras.
The device also includes a side-mounted fingerprint reader, stereo speakers, and runs on HarmonyOS 6.0.
