WWE is finally coming to Netflix Philippines

WWE is coming to Netflix Philippines on January 1, 2026

For years, catching the latest episode meant waiting for delayed cable broadcasts or relying on VPNs to stream content from other regions.

That's about to change: as confirmed by the WWE Network on its Filipino subscribers, WWE is expected to launch on Netflix Philippines in 2026.
The long wait is almost over for Pinoy wrestling fans

Filipinos have been asking for WWE programming on Netflix here in the Philippines since the global deal got announced last year, which says a lot about the excitement from the WWE Universe on this side of the world!, says Stan Sy, one half of WWE's official Tagalog commentary team.

The Filipino audience can expect the weekly programs and our PLEs to be available live and on-demand on Netflix here in the Philippines by January 1, 2026. And for our viewers who are more comfortable consuming media in Tagalog, we've got Tagalog commentary available as an audio option!

With this move, fans can finally stream Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and premium WWE events without workarounds. For many, it's a long-awaited convenience that makes following WWE storylines in real time so much easier.

How did Pinoy WWE fans adapt?

Limited access has never stopped Filipinos from enjoying WWE; it only changed how they enjoyed it. Some have even turned viewing into a community celebration.

A standout example is The Wrestling-Wrestling Podcast, which regularly hosts early-morning live viewing parties of Premium Live Events at Skinny Mike’s Sports Bar in Bonifacio Global City. Fans pack the venue before sunrise to cheer, debate, react, and experience the show together.

When access is limited, Pinoys simply find louder, more communal ways to enjoy what they love, and wrestling is no exception.

WWE's History in the Philippines

The Philippines has a long and rich connection with WWE. The sports-entertainment company ran shows in the country spanning decades, including ones in 1994 and 1995 under the WWF banner, two live tours in 2006 for both the RAW and SmackDown brands, one in 2009 featuring SmackDown & ECW wrestlers, and a return in 2016 featuring arguably the greatest of all time, John Cena.

The last live event held here was in 2019, with Daniel Bryan challenging Kofi Kingston for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Pinoy wrestling fans also have reason to cheer for representation in the ring. Several WWE wrestlers, both current and former, have Filipino heritage: Batista, a multi-time World Heavyweight Champion and one of WWE’s biggest stars of the 2000s; TJ Perkins, the inaugural WWE Cruiserweight Classic winner; Kayden Carter, a former NXT and WWE Women's Tag Team Champion; Shotzi, one of the most charismatic performers in WWE during her stint, and Joaquin Wilde, a member of the famous LWO faction. These performers have shown that Filipino talent can make waves on the global stage.

Beyond international stars, the Philippines also has a growing homegrown wrestling scene. Promotions like PUSO Wrestling and DEXCON Wrestling continue to nurture local talents like Jake De Leon, Main Maxx, Crystal, Robin Sane, Fabio Makisig, Ken Warren, Nigel San Jose, Chelsea Marie, and Super P— all of whom could one day follow in their footsteps.

Looking ahead

Having RAW, SmackDown, NXT, and our Premium Live Events (PLEs) be this accessible to longtime fans makes it easier for them to catch up on everything going on. At the same time, I hope that the programs' presence on Netflix gives birth to a new generation of WWE fans who will love our Superstars and their journeys for years to come.", adds Stan Sy.

With WWE more accessible than ever, the stage is set for a new era of Philippine wrestling fandom, and possibly a future where a full-blooded, homegrown Filipino wrestler finally steps into a WWE ring.
