Digg aims to protect users from AI threats

Digg, a community-driven platform, was recently relaunched. The social news aggregator was repurchased and rebooted by its original founder, Kevin Rose, along with Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.

This platform was developed to work similarly to Reddit. It features an infinite-scrolling feed where users "Digg" (upvote) or "Bury" (downvote) stories.

Digg has community-driven hubs, similar to subreddits, where niche discussions happen.

According to the company, Digg will roll out new technologies, such as zero-knowledge proofs that verify if the user is a real human without the site ever knowing your actual identity or personal data.

Digg is still in beta version.

Digg CEO Justin Mezzell said they want to "test features, listen closely, and evolve the product alongside the people using it."eee

An account can create up to two communities, which the CEO said was intentional. Mezzell said, "communities here aren't meant to be camped on or abandoned... we want them to be cared for."

Digg is accessible via mobile app and browser.
