New standard ANC earbuds soon in PH

HUAWEI has unveiled the upcoming release of the HUAWEI FreeBuds 7i, a new model of wireless earbuds positioned in the mid-range market.

The product is set to launch in the Philippines on February 2, 2026, with a promised price point of under PHP 5,000.

According to the firm, the earbuds feature Intelligent Dynamic Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) 4.0. HUAWEI states the system provides an average full-band noise reduction depth of 28 dB, with a maximum capability of 55 dB.

The company highlights an ANC response time under 0.5 seconds, attributing this performance to an 8 mm² rear vent and a large air guide cavity.

A key audio feature is what the brand calls Unlimited Spatial Audio with head tracking, enabled by a built-in Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). HUAWEI states this function works across both iOS and Android platforms.

Furthermore, the earbuds are equipped with an 11 mm quad-magnet dynamic driver and carry Hi-Res Audio certification.

For call clarity, the device incorporates a six-microphone system and a bone-conduction Voice Pickup Unit (VPU), supported by AI call noise reduction algorithms. Control methods include touch controls and head gesture recognition for answering or rejecting calls.

The design includes an ergonomic shape with an arc-shaped stem and four sizes of ear tips, including a new extra-small option. The earbuds carry an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.

Battery life is rated for up to 35 hours total with the charging case, with fast charging providing up to four hours of listening time from a 10-minute charge. The earbuds support dual-device connectivity and are compatible with Android and iOS.

More information is available on HUAWEI’s official website and social media channels (Facebook and Instagram).
