REDMI Turbo 5 launched: Dimensity 8500, 7,560mAh battery, and quad IP ratings

As promised, REDMI officially launches the Turbo 5 today with a large battery and a capable chip.

REDMI Turbo 5 is now official

The device features a design with a metal frame, a glass back, and a vertical camera module, available in Shadow Black, Light Sea Green, and Auspicious Cloud White.

It has quad IP ratings, such as IP66/68/69/69K dust and water resistance for strong water jets, extreme temperatures, and unwanted dust.

In front, the REDMI Turbo 5 is equipped with a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with 2756 x 1268 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 3,500 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

The features

Inside, it is powered by MediaTek's new 3.4GHz 4nm Dimensity 8500 processor with Mali-G720 MC8 GPU.

It is paired with 12GB/16GB LPDDR5X memory and 256GB/512GB UFS 4.1 storage. 

A 3D ice-sealed circulating cold pump cooling system and a "Rampage Engine" are implemented for thermal management and performance tuning.

The phone also features a 7,560mAh battery, USB-C 100W HyperCharge, and 27W wireless charging capabilities.

The rear camera system includes a 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor with OIS + 8-megapixel ultrawide lens. While the front features a 20-megapixel selfie camera.

Connectivity features include WiFi 6 (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM.

The phone also supports kilometer-level wireless connectivity, improved interoperability with Apple devices, and cross-platform file transfer and notification sharing.

For OS, the phone runs on Android 16 with HyperOS 3 skin on top.
