Following the update's release, players globally will be able to drive the virtual model of the SU7 Ultra in the game. The Gran Turismo franchise is known for its detailed driving physics and selective vehicle roster. The collaboration between Xiaomi and Polyphony Digital was initially announced on June 7, 2025.

Kazunori Yamauchi, the series producer, conducted test drives of the physical SU7 Ultra at several locations, including Beijing and the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Engineers from Xiaomi EV also visited Polyphony Digital's studio in Fukuoka for the final in-game driving validation.

The production version of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra features a tri-motor electric powertrain rated at 1,548 horsepower, with a claimed acceleration from 0–100 km/h in 1.98 seconds.

It previously set a Nürburgring Nordschleife lap time of 7:04.957 for electric executive cars. To commemorate the launch, Polyphony Digital will host a two-week lap-time challenge on the Monza circuit within Gran Turismo 7.
