Addressing fake content in PH
The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) will forge a partnership with Facebook parent firm to go after inappropriate content.
According to PhilStar, DICT Secretary Henry Rhoel Aguda confirmed that the department eyes signing the agreement next week.
DICT said in a statement that Meta has committed faster detection, reporting, and removal of online sexual content targeting children.
The company also committed stronger coordination to fight financial scams. The agreement also covers protection againts deepfakes that target public servants, business leaders and private individuals.
Your kids, your money and your reputation are now better protected on Facebook, DICT said.
