Netflix has secured exclusive global streaming rights for an upcoming live performance by the musical group BTS. The event will take place at Gwanghwamun in Seoul on March 21, with the stream beginning at 8 p.m. KST.

In a statement, Netflix announced a partnership with HYBE for what it described as a "historic worldwide comeback event."

The performance is connected to the group's new album, "Arirang," scheduled for release on March 20. It will be the first full-group live performance by members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook in four years.

The key details on the Netflix x BTS partnership

A documentary film titled "BTS: The Return," focusing on the album's production, will be released on Netflix on March 27. The platform states the documentary will follow the group's reunion process and reflect on their career.

Following the album's release, BTS is scheduled to begin a world tour with 81 shows across 34 cities. Their agency, BigHit Music, states this number of dates represents the largest for a K-pop tour. Included in the itinerary are performances in the Philippines on March 13 and 14, 2027, which would be the group's first visit to the country in a decade.
