YouTube introduces an even more affordable Premium Lite pricing tier that offers ad-free viewing to 'most videos' only.

Is YouTube Premium Lite worth it?

The original YouTube Premium offers ad-free viewing of all videos on YouTube, ad-free listening to (YouTube Music) music and music videos, background play, downloads, and additional features (such as Jump ahead, queuing, continue watching, and more).

This new Premium light starts at a lower price, but it removes access to add free (YouTube Music) music and music video streaming, and the additional features, while only offering ad-free video streaming to 'most videos' and allowing access to background play and downloads.

In the Philippines, the Premium light starts at PHP 109 per month. Users can try it for 1 month for PHP 0. YouTube Premium starts at PHP 189 per month for an individual, at PHP 379 per month for the Family Plan of 5 members, and at PHP 115 per month for individual students.

YouTube says that this new tier will be rolling out in the coming weeks across regions.
