TECNO unveils EllaClaw, a mobile AI Agent designed for emerging markets

The system integrates the OpenClaw agentic framework with Ella, TECNO’s existing AI assistant, operating at the system level to handle complex, multi‑step, and long‑duration tasks.

Unlike OpenClaw, an open‑source foundational infrastructure that requires significant technical expertise to deploy, EllaClaw is designed to offer a more streamlined, consumer‑oriented mobile AI agent experience. Users can access EllaClaw directly through Ella, without needing a separate entry point.

The interface

The beta version of TECNO EllaClaw is expected to be available in the coming months, and interested users will be able to apply through official online channels. 

The beta will offer three tiers of capabilities. The first, One-Sentence Automation, allows the agent to execute tasks based on a single instruction, even when expressed in natural or ambiguous language, handling activities such as scheduling and file management.

The features

The second capability is Cross-App Data Integration, which operates at the system level to connect applications, including SMS, calendar, and notes, automatically aggregating content.

Two use cases illustrate this function: a smart SMS summary skill that auto-categorizes messages and flags priority items such as bank notifications, bills, and time‑sensitive travel updates, while identifying messages that can be safely deleted; and a daily schedule skill that aggregates calendar events, notes, real‑time weather, and a personalized news briefing through secure web search into a single daily summary.

The third capability involves a persistent memory system that enables EllaClaw to learn user habits and preferences over time, proactively surfacing relevant information and expanding its functions. The system also includes privacy safeguards, with user data isolated and inaccessible to unauthorized users or third parties.
