The Xiaomi 17 base model arrives in the Philippines shortly after its global launch at MWC 2026.

To recap, it feature compact shape packed with rich performance upgrades and improved cameras partnered with LEICA.

It comes with Alpine Pink, Ice Blue, Black, Venture Green design choices and boasts an IP68 dust and water resistance rating.

The Xiaomi 17 is equipped with a 6.3-inch OLED M10 LTPO display, offering a resolution of 2656 x 1220 and a variable refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz.

The screen features ultra-narrow 1.18mm bezels and achieves a peak brightness of 3500 nits. It supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, and is protected by Xiaomi Shield Glass for added durability.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the 4.6GHz 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 octa-core chipset. It comes with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and offers storage options of 256GB and 512GB UFS 4.1. To manage thermal performance during intensive tasks, Xiaomi has incorporated a 3D IceLoop VC cooling system.

The phone houses a 6,330mAh silicon-carbon battery, designed to support all-day usage. According to the company, the battery retains 80 percent of its health after 1,600 charging cycles. It supports 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 22.5W reverse charging for other devices.

In terms of camera capabilities, the Xiaomi 17 features a Leica-branded triple-camera system on the rear. This includes a 50MP main sensor with a 1/1.31-inch Light Fusion 950 sensor, Hyper OIS, and an f/1.67 aperture. It is complemented by a 50MP ultra-wide lens with a 102-degree field of view and a 50MP telephoto camera offering 2.6x optical zoom and macro functionality. The front camera has been upgraded to a 50MP sensor with autofocus and supports 4K video recording at 60fps.

Additional features include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Connectivity options include WiFi 7, 5G SA/NSA, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and dual SIM support.

On the software side, the device runs on Android 16 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3. The interface includes tools such as AI Writing, AI Search, and dynamic wallpapers. The phone also supports Google’s Gemini AI assistant, enabling cross-app integration and features like image generation.
