HONOR Pad X8b launched in PH: Drop & crush resistance, 11-inch FHD LCD, 10,100mAh battery, PHP 9,999 promo price

Following the teasers, the HONOR Pad X8b goes official in the Philippines as one of the toughest tablets yet for the price range.

The HONOR Pad X8b comes in a single colorway, Space Gray, with a slim profile measuring 7.25mm in thickness and a weight of 496 grams.

Sleek form factor

Among its highlights is the 5 Star SGS drop and crush resistance, a feat that allows the device to withstand accidental drops. This is made possible with the full metal build from its body, including the frames.

The display

Moreover, HONOR claimed a 30 percent increase in water resistance, ensuring that it can handle minimal splashes or accidental spills.

The tablet sports an 11-inch IPS LCD display with a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. 

Under the hood, it is driven by the Snapdragon 680 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Keeping the device running is a 10,100mAh battery.

The rear camera

On the camera side, the HONOR Pad X8b carries a 5-megapixel rear camera alongside a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. 

Other features are quad speakers and Hi-Res audio for immersive listening. It also has a 1x microphone for video calls or online learning.

Wireless connectivity is handled by a WiFi 5 (2.4GHz and 5GHz) and Bluetooth 5.0 with BLE, SBC, AAC, and LDAC compatibility. 

The tablet ships with Android 16 out of the box, running beneath HONOR's MagicOS 10 skin.

There's also a Kid Space allowing parents to monitor the apps and activities of their children in a separate OS.
