HUAWEI Pura 90 launched: 6.8-inch OLED, 50MP main camera, and 6,500mAh battery

Apart from the HUAWEI Pura 90 Pro Max, the brand also introduced a base variant called the Pura 90.

The phone's design

HUAWEI Pura 90 is now official

The HUAWEI Pura 90 is available in three colorways — Snow White, Velvet Black, and Roland Purple. The device measures 7.0mm in thickness and weighs 210 grams.

The handset also carries both IP68 and IP69 ratings, offering resistance to immersion at depths of up to 2 meters as well as protection against high-pressure water jets.

In front, the Pura 90 sports a 6.8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2856 x 1320 pixels at 462 ppi. The panel also supports LTPO adaptive refresh rates ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz and a 300Hz touch sampling rate. It is protected by Kunlun Glass. 

Inside, the Pura 90 is powered by the 7nm Kirin 9010S chipset, paired with either 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.

Larger battery

For battery, the standard Pura 90 houses a 6,500mAh cell — larger than what is found in its Pro counterparts. It also supports USB-C 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

The cameras

For optics, the device features a triple rear camera system comprising a 50MP f/1.8 main camera + 12.5MP f/2.2 ultra-wide sensor + 50MP f/2.2 3.5x telephoto camera.

Handling the selfies is the 50MP front camera.

In terms of connectivity, specific details were not disclosed. 

Finally, the phone runs HarmonyOS 6.1 out of the box.

It is currently available in China. No word yet for other markets as of the moment.
