In a statement, the company said it has more than 160 electric EV charging stations available across its mall locations nationwide.

It said that the rollout of more EV charging infrastructure mirrors the group’s commitment to supporting more sustainable mobility options.

EVs have been gaining momentum in the local market, with the Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines expecting a 30-percent increase in the total automotive sales this 2025.

With fluctuating fuel prices, electric vehicles are becoming an increasingly practical alternative for many drivers looking for more efficient and environmentally conscious transportation, SM Supermalls said.

EV users visiting its malls can also max out their time, as they can charge their cars while enjoying a meal with family or shopping.

SM Supermalls have 89 malls in the Philippines and nine in China, making it one of Southeast Asia’s largest mall developers.
