The watch can also take ECG (electrocardiogram) readings, and one of them shows that mine appears to be "normal" even if it is slightly above the resting range (60 to 100 bpm).

Sample sleep score
It also has the enhanced HUAWEI TruSleep 5.0 algorithm to deliver deeper insights into your sleep health. It analyses your sleep architecture and stability to reveal your true sleep quality.
Intelligent sleep tracking
This feature records sleep. It knows your Deep sleep, Light sleep, and REM sleep as well as the number of times the user will wake up. In the HUAWEI Health app, it also shows the average heart rate of the user, breathing quality, deep sleep continuity, and many more.
In my experience, my Night sleep is always below the average range with 69 points. I also always wake up about 2x a night, which is not normal.
With the help of the watch, I am trying different ways to improve my sleep quality. Yes, it has tips and tricks depending on your sleep quality.

Breathing exercises and Health insights
It also has the Intelligence Emotional Wellbeing 2.0 to track, analyze, and manage the user's stress and mood. This allows users to see a mood shift in real time. There are 12 emotions in total.

SpO2, Skin temp
The watch also includes SpO2 monitoring to track blood oxygen in real time—essential for high-altitude travel, sleep breathing analysis, and gauging how your body adapts to intense workouts.
For the ladies, it has an option to predict period, ovulation day, and cycle with the help of its temperature sensor.
Generally, its HUAWEI TruSense system provides more accurate and faster readings than ever.
However, note that smartwatches like the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 Pro provide screening information only. For actual evaluations, still visit the hospital you trust with real health care professionals, especially if you are feeling some discomfort.
Improved outdoor sports experience, new mini workouts
The new HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 Pro also specializes in outdoor sports, thanks to its new Sunflower dual-band L1+L5 GPS antenna.

Smarter tracking
The Sunflower dual‑band L1+L5 GPS antenna on the HUAWEI Watch Fit 5 Pro allows the device to deliver precise, standalone positioning without needing to connect to your phone.
Since it has advanced GPS bands, HUAWEI said that it has accurate tracking even in challenging environments such as dense cities, forests, or areas with tall buildings. This means you can enjoy accurate tracking of your runs, rides, or hikes while leaving your phone behind, giving you more freedom of movement.
HUAWEI also said that you can use this even in tunnels, which could be helpful for bikers.
For professional bikers, the watch can estimate virtual power and cadence, helping users gauge effort even without pricey sensors. Its auto‑pause kicks in at stops and resumes once you pedal again. For peace of mind, fall detection alerts emergency contacts if you crash.
Track real‑time heart rate zones, monitor training load, and measure recovery time to avoid overtraining.
Sadly, I don't bike, so I wasn't able to test it. But during my quick jogs and runs, no issues. It accurately tracks the route, even inside our village, which is still fairly new.

PickleX app
The watch also supports different apps like Tennix (tennis) and PickleX (pickleball), Goodshot (badminton), and more. It also has apps with stats for lifting, football, and more.
|
PickleX insights on the HUAWEI Health App
It shows stats, calories burned, average heart rate, swings, longest rally, and training load for the PickleX app.
Golfers are also in for a treat. While I don't play it, those who do may explore over 17,000+ courses with zoomable maps to see green and hazards to know where they stand. It also has a customizable flagstick position, green view auto-rotate, live scorecard.
It also has pro-level features for divers, like hover time and water type identification on free dives up to 40 meters.
Like the previous generation WATCH FIT, the new WATCH FIT 5 Pro has customizable training plans and AI-enhanced coaching.
In total, the watch has over 100+ workout modes.

Mini-Workout
The Mini-Workout is fun. To easily access it, what I do is select the animated Panda watch face and then select the workouts of your choice.
This features tracks 10 body parts, from your head and neck down to your shoulders and more. It offers 30 animated movements with step‑by‑step guidance, perfect for quick fitness bursts anytime, anywhere.
The Mini‑Workout watch face stars a panda that encourages you to stretch, twist, or sway during daily activities.
Each session lasts just 30 seconds, with the panda demonstrating movements through cute animations you can copy. The panda's expressions also adapt to your activity, designed to keep workouts fun and motivating.
As you progress, you can unlock city landmarks from Chengdu, Shanghai, and many more.
My personal favorites include mini stretches to shake off afternoon drowsiness, knee pull‑ins, and neck exercises. For me, these are simple yet effective routines that keep me refreshed throughout the day.
It keeps me moving on hectic days, especially when I'm stuck in front of my laptop for hours.

Music and Remote shutter apps
This watch also seamlessly syncs with data from HUAWEI Health to Strava to keep fitness history centralized even when you switch devices or apps. This eliminates manual uploads to save time and ensure accuracy as well.
Other notable features include GCash app support for cashless contactless QR payments,
voice recorder, weather app, remote shutter, timer, stop watch, music player, compass, and flashlight.
Some of the features that I surprisingly use a lot of times are the remote shutter, timer, music player, alarm, and phone.
Yes, this can make calls. The speakers are quite loud, and it has nice microphone quality. It is a convenient feature that I have used many times, especially on times when the watch is more accessible than my phone.
The new HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 Pro delivers impressive endurance while staying compatible with Apple, Android, and HUAWEI devices.
Up to 10 days of battery life
Like its previous generation, it can last up to 10 days on light usage. It can also last up to 7 days under typical conditions, around 4 days with the Always‑On Display enabled, and up to 24 hours of trail run battery life.
This performance is powered by a new HiSilicon battery that offers 14% higher density and 18% greater capacity compared to the previous generation.
What makes this achievement stand out is that HUAWEI has managed to maintain long battery life despite the watch's larger screen, added features, and more graphically demanding animations, proving that efficiency remains a core strength of the device.
For my usage, the device can last about 7-8 days on a single charge. So, HUAWEI's claims are accurate, as I do light workouts about 2-3 times a week for at least 45 minutes.
With its wireless charging cradle, the watch could be charged from 0 to 50% in 30 minutes, and slightly above 1 hour to fully charge the device.
