vivo has quietly introduced the Vivo Y60 in China, expanding its Y-series lineup with a new budget-oriented 5G handset.

New budget 5G phone with a big battery
The vivo Y60 is offered in three color options: Shanhaiqing Blue, Lucky Purple, and Obsidian Black. The device measures 167.40 x 77.10 x 8.39mm and weighs 209 grams.
The phone also carries an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, along with an SGS five-star drop-and-shock resistance certification.
On the front, the smartphone sports a 6.74-inch LCD panel with a waterdrop notch, a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

The handset is powered by a 2.2GHz 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, paired with either 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
A 6,500mAh battery keeps the device running, with support for 15W wired charging and reverse charging.
For imaging, the Vivo Y60 features a 13MP rear camera with autofocus + LED flash, complemented by a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies.
Other features mentioned are a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that handles biometric authentication, and an infrared blaster that enables remote control functionality.
On the connectivity front, the Vivo Y60 supports WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The device ships with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 out of the box.

It is currently available in China. No word yet if it will become available in the Philippines, too.
