Xiaomi 17 Max launched: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 200MP Leica cameras, and 8,000mAh battery
Xiaomi 17 Max was introduced in China with maxed-out specs from 200MP Leica cameras, an 8,000mAh battery, and a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC.

Earlier, we reported on the imminent arrival of the Xiaomi 17 Max in China.
Several weeks later, Xiaomi unveiled the latest member of the Xiaomi 17 series in China. Its design is in line with the Xiaomi 17 series, and it comes in either Pixel Black, White, or Sky Blue. It measures 162.9 x 77.6 x 8.15mm and weighs 219 grams.
It is IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance rated.
In front is the 6.9-inch M10 12-bit LTPO display with a 2,608 x 1,200 resolutionm a 20:9 aspect ratio, a 3,500 nits peak brightness, a 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, and a 1,920Hz PWM Dimming.
Inside is the 3nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 octa-core processor, Adreno 840 GPU, 12GB/16GB LPDDR5X RAM, a 256GB/512GB UFS 4.1 storage, a dual nano SIM, and an 8,000mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging via USB-C.
At the back are the 200MP f/1.65 main camera with a 1/1.4-inch HP9 sensor with Hyper OIS and Leica Summilux lens, a 50MP f/2.4 102-degree Leica ultra-wide angle lens, and a 50MP f/2.4 3x Leica Periscope Telephoto camera with 15cm telemacro, OIS, and LED flash.
In front is the 32MP f/2.2 front-facing selfie camera.
Other features include an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, an infrared sensor, Hi-Res audio, stereo speaker, Dolby Atmos, a 4-microphone array, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, Galileo, GLONASS, NavIC, and GPS.

It is now available for pre-order in China and will go on sale in stores in China on May 25, 2026.
There is no word yet on international or Philippine availability and pricing.
