Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro go official: Dimensity 8500/9500, 5x telephoto camera, and LEICA Summilux lenses

Both phones are available in Black, Blue, and Violet, though the Pro adds Deep Blue and Deep Violet finishes and drops the Opal White option offered on the standard model. Additionally, the two phones carry an IP68 dust and water resistance rating.

The Pro is the larger of the two at 162.2 x 77.5 x 8.25 mm and 219g, while the standard 17T measures 157.6 x 75.2 x 8.17 mm and comes in lighter at 200g.

In terms of display, the Xiaomi 17T uses a 6.59-inch OLED panel with 1.5K 2756 x 1268 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.

The Pro carries the larger, while the standard 17T offers a 6.59-inch screen at 2756 x 1268 pixels with a 144Hz refresh rate. 

Meanwhile, both models feature 3,500 nits peak brightness, 68 billion colors within the DCI-P3 color gamut, DC dimming, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision. 

The Pro additionally supports a 1 nit ultra-dim mode, and 3,840 Hz PWM dimming is present on the standard model. Both carry identical TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light, flicker-free, circadian-friendly, and intelligent eye care standards.


You can differentiate these two from their chipsets as well. The regular 17T uses a 3.4GHz 4nm Dimensity 8500-Ultra chip with Mali-G720 MC8 GPU.

On the other hand, the Pro uses a stronger 4.21GHz 3nm Dimensity 9500 octa-core processor with Mali-G1 Ultra GPU.

Both come with 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, with the Pro offering configurations up to 1 TB compared to the standard model's maximum of 512 GB.

The standard edition has a 6,500mAh battery and charges using a USB-C 67W HyperCharge adaptor. The Pro model has a larger 7,000mAh battery and charges using 100W HyperCharge or 50W wireless HyperCharge.

For cameras, the Xiaomi 17T uses a 50MP f/1.7 Light Fusion 800 main camera with OIS + LEICA Vario Summilux lens. It is paired with a 12MP ultra-wide snapper at 120-degree FOV  + 50MP f/3.0 OIS 5x telephoto sensor with 30cm macro and LEICA lens.

The Xiaomi 17T Pro's cameras have a 50MP f/1.67 Light Fusion 950 OIS main camera with a LEICA Summilux lens. Similarly, it carries the 12MP ultra-wide snapper at 120-degree FOV  + 50MP f/3.0 OIS 5x telephoto sensor with 30cm macro and LEICA lens.

Both devices also achieve 120x AI Ultra Zoom, as per Xiaomi.

Across both models, audio is handled by dual stereo speakers, a three-microphone array, Dolby Atmos, and Hi-Res and Hi-Res Wireless certification. 

 The AI feature set is identical across the lineup, covering AI Writing, AI Speech Recognition, AI Interpreter, AI Search, AI Dynamic Wallpapers, AI Creativity Assistant, Circle to Search with Google, and Google Gemini.

Both phones support WiFi 7, 5G, 4G, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM.

Finally, the two phones run HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.
