GCash enhances support and security

Basically, GCash is making it easier for users to resolve issues such as scams, unauthorized transactions, account takeovers, and "wrong send" errors.

According to the company,  users can access step‑by‑step guides, transaction history, and error notifications to quickly identify and address concerns inside the app.

Meanwhile, the GCash Help Center serves as a central hub. It has Gigi the chat agent handling common cases like lost SIMs, fund transfers, and wallet limit upgrades.

For more complex problems, live agents are available via the official hotline (02) 7213-9999, ensuring sensitive cases are escalated and resolved promptly.

GCash also has security safeguards built directly into the platform.

It has Account Secure, which provides access to one device, while DoubleSafe selfie verification, biometrics login, MPIN protection, and one‑time passwords add multiple layers of defense against fraud.

These features are complemented by GCash's collaboration with regulators and law enforcement.

The company is in coordination with the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) and PH Payments Management Inc. (PPMI). Enforcement efforts have already blocked thousands of fraudulent merchants linked to QR phishing schemes.

The company continues to refine its tools to reduce response times and urges users to remain vigilant. They reminded the public to transact only through official channels and report suspicious activity immediately via the app, help.gcash.com, or hotline (02) 7213-9999.

Resolving a concern quickly starts with going to the right channel. We have built our support system so that users can find the help they need, whether it is a simple guide in the app or a conversation with a live agent, said Paul Velasquez, GCash AVP and Head of Customer Service Operations.
