MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ announced
It is the world's first handheld gaming device powered by Intel's new Arc G3 Extreme processors with Intel Arc GPU B390 graphics, which are said to be a "breakthrough in portable AAA gaming."
With that chip, the Claw 8 EX AI+ promises to deliver "next‑level graphics performance with exceptional efficiency," to enable "longer play sessions without compromise."
The device has an 8‑inch 48~120Hz VRR display with FHD+ 1920 x 1200 resolution with 100% sRGB colors and 500 nits brightness for fluid, tear‑free visuals, alongside redesigned ergonomic grips, Hall‑effect triggers and sticks, and a responsive D‑pad for precision control.
It also has a new high‑end linear motor (6-Axis IMU Vibration Motor) that enhances haptic feedback, simulating tactile textures with faster response and improved efficiency. On the software side, support for XeSS 3, Multi‑Frame Generation (MFG), and Xbox Mode ensures smoother gameplay and seamless resume.
MSI also equipped it with LPDDR5x onboard with up to 32GB dual channel and an 80WHr battery.
MSI also revealed that the handheld has 2x 2W speakers, DTS Audio, Hi-Res Audio, 1x 3.5mm jack, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6, 2x Thunderbolt 5, and 1x microSD card.
The device arrived in a bold Void Purple colorway. It measures 296~321 x 130 x 25~48mm and 785 grams.
