Samsung Galaxy M46 launched: 6.7-inch display, Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, and 6,000mAh battery

Samsung Galaxy M46 is now official

The device shares much of its design and core specifications with the Galaxy A27, while introducing a handful of notable upgrades.

Design-wise, the Galaxy M47 is available in Rogue Red and Blaze Blue color options.

On the display front, the phone features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ and houses a 12MP front-facing camera within a punch-hole cutout.

Powering the device is a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, paired with 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The most significant upgrade over the A27 comes in the form of battery and charging. The M47 packs a larger 6,000mAh battery that supports up to 45W wired charging. 

It also includes bypass charging, which allows the device to draw power directly from the charger rather than the battery when plugged in. This feature is particularly beneficial during gaming, as it helps reduce heat buildup and prevent unnecessary battery wear.

For imaging, the M47 carries a triple-camera setup on the back, comprising a 50MP main sensor, a 5MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro camera.

Other features are side-mounted fingerprint scanner and single loudspeaker for audio.

In terms of software, the Galaxy M47 runs One UI 8.5 based on Android 16. 

Samsung has committed to providing six years of Android OS upgrades along with six years of security updates, in line with its recent software support policy.

It is currently available in India. No word yet if Samsung will bring this here in PH.
