BYD Cars Philippines, under ACMobility, has expanded its electrified sedan offering with the new BYD Seal 5 DM-i.

Refined Ocean-Inspired design
The facelifted BYD Seal 5 DM-i adopts the brand's Ocean Aesthetics design framework, presenting a sleeker profile than its predecessor. The front fascia incorporates a wave-shaped automatic LED headlights paired with a trapezoidal front grille and U-shaped air intakes.
Compared to the 2024 model, the updated Seal 5 DM-i refines its exterior proportions with an overall length of 4,780 mm, a width of 1,837 mm, and a ground clearance of up to 160mm suited for Philippine roads. The rear retains a continuous full-width LED light bar and subtle ducktail spoiler, while side profiles feature redesigned alloy wheels, 16-inch two-tone alloys on the Dynamic variant, and microalloyed on the Essential variant.

Inside the BYD Seal 5 DM-i, functionality balances with high-tech appointments. The dashboard is anchored by an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touch screen infotainment system featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.
The cabin interior utilizes soft-touch surfaces across the dashboard and door panels. Seating upholstery ranges from durable fabric in the essential variant to synthetic leather in the Dynamic variant. Standard convenience amenities include automatic climate control with dedicated rear air vents, multiple USB charging ports, and a multifunction steering wheel. Cargo capacity measures 522 liters in the trunk, expanding up to 1,295 liters with the 60:40 split-folding rear seats folded down.
At the heart of the Seal 5 DM-i BYD's 5th-generation Super DM-i plug-in hybrid architecture. The system pairs a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine with an electric motor and an eCVT transmission driving the front wheels.
Inside is the Essential Variant, a 7.42 kWh Blade Battery offering up to 55km of pure electric driving. While the Dynamic Variant has an upgraded 18.3 kWh Blade Battery, extending pure electric range up to 115km. BYD uses cobalt-free LFP Battery technology designed for structural integrity and high thermal safety.

During an official efficiency test conducted in partnership with the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP), the vehicle achieved a total combined driving range of up to 2,181km on a full charge and tank. Chassis components include MacPherson strut front suspension, a rear torsion beam, ventilated front disc brakes, and solid rear disc brakes.

The BYD Seal 5 DM-i is available across nationwide dealerships through ACMobility. Introductory pricing runs from July 28 through August 31, 2026, ahead of official SRP enforcement starting September 1, 2026.
All units include an 8-year Drive Unit warranty, a 6-year or 160,000km bumper-to-bumper warranty, and an 8-year or 160,000km Blade Battery Warranty. Available exterior color choices are Deep Sea Blue, Cosmos Black, Artic White, and Harbour Grey. Financing packages are provided in partnership with BPI.
