Clean, sleek, eye-catching yet extra-durable aesthetics
My first impressions? This is a statement piece. It's minimalist, very neat-looking, and super thin.

| Ultra-thin and lightweight body |
Crafted with all-metal material (Magnesium-Aluminium alloy and nano liquid ceramic coating), the laptop instantly screams premium.
Plus, unlike other loud-looking laptops, ASUS chose to keep it simple, classy, and elegant by just putting its logo in the middle portion of its display cover.

Since it has a nano liquid ceramic coating, the
ExpertBook Ultra is not prone to fingerprint smudges and scratches (9H scratch and surface-hardness resistance) as well as very easy to clean in just a swipe—a welcome feature for neat freaks like myself. Even the keyboard and touchpad are not prone to smudges.

The laptop measures 310.09 x 212.8 x 10.9mm with a weight starting as low as 0.99 kg up to 1.09 kg—making it ultra-compact and lightweight for a 14-inch laptop, which fits perfectly even in my compact laptop bags and backpacks.
Sleek yet ultra-durable build
ASUS also claims that the laptop has passed 24 MIL-STD tests along with 150 in-house ASUS tests, ensuring military-grade durability and overall reliability. In practice, this means the device is drop-proof, can withstand up to 100 kg of compression, and features a spill-resistant keyboard capable of repelling up to 405 ml of water.
The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and framed with slim bezels, making it less prone to scratches and accidental shattering.
As a business owner, if I were to purchase a personal laptop for use in meetings, presentations, and other professional settings, this model would be at the very top of my list in terms of design and durability.
Time will ultimately reveal whether these claims stand, but I’d still prefer a device backed by certifications and assurances rather than one with none at all.
In addition, I like the ExpertLumi on the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra—a subtle low‑glare LED bar that elegantly signals power on, login, and sleep.
Lastly, ASUS offers a 3‑year warranty, extendable to 5 years (including battery). With over 100 service centers nationwide, support is always within reach. Meanwhile, the ASUS Business Support Program further ensures peace of mind through priority servicing, on‑site repairs, and 24/7 assistance.
Flagship business AI laptop experience

| ASUS ExpertBook Ultra Copilot |
This thing is fast and smart. Period. It is more than fast enough for all the things I do for work and entertainment.
The reason behind it? My unit is the variant with Intel Core Ultra X7 358H with Intel Arc B390 GPU, 64GB LPDDR5X RAM, and 2TB PCIe 5.0 SSD storage. There is even an Intel Core X9 option.
Loading software and other applications is generally quick and snappy. Benchmarks prove that the laptop is FAST.
 |
| Geekbench |
 |
| PCMark 10 |
 |
| 3DMark |
Even if I open all the apps I use for work and keep them running in the background, everything is buttery smooth. I barely experience lag even if there are some games and benchmarks idle in the background.
Expected to stay smooth for years
Running Copilot, Gemini, and ChatGPT is faster than my previous experiences. It boasts a dedicated 50 TOPS NPU for AI workloads and is certified as a Copilot+ PC.
If you have a Microsoft 365 account, users may even take advantage of deeper AI integration embedded on Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and more as well as access to organizational data enterprise-grade security and access to organizational data.
Some services may require a subscription, but it also has the ASUS MyExpert Suite AI that can transcribe spoken audio into text, generate concise summaries from long documents, translate across multiple languages, and many more.
This also has a large enough 14-inch 3K Tandem OLED (120Hz, HDR 1400 nits) with a tall 16:10 aspect ratio that makes it ideal for split screens for multitasking and productivity.
The result? Doing work here is a breeze. I was able to split-screen both Photoshop with plenty of layers for editing the images that I will use and documents on one side for drafting the articles.
There is no issue with editing and rendering 4K videos here as well.

| Diablo IV on the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra |
It is not designed primarily for gaming since it is a business laptop, but running Genshin Impact and Diablo IV at full resolution and default settings remains impressively smooth with barely any lag, even when multiple background apps are active. For Diablo IV, Intel XeSS support helps boost frame rates and enhance overall performance, making gameplay more fluid. Even graphically demanding skills cast during intense clashes run without noticeable delays, showing that this machine can handle occasional gaming while still excelling as a professional work partner.
This also has WiFi 7, allowing me to enjoy the full internet speed at home from my WiFi 7 router, and Bluetooth 6.0 for a more stable wireless headphones connection.
 |
| The keyboard |
The device also has a very nice backlit keyboard with 1.5mm proper key travel and a satisfying general touch. ASUS paired it with a wide enough 6-sensor haptic touchpad (Edge-to-edge haptic touchpad with AAC haptic engine) with generally easy-to-use gestures for easy navigation.
Despite its ultra‑slim profile, the laptop delivers surprisingly strong thermal performance. This is made possible by ASUS's advanced full‑span ExpertCool Pro Technology cooling system, which uses a 0.1mm aluminum thermal module, dual fans, and three strategically placed air outlets.
Together, these components actively dissipate heat from the CPU and SSD, allowing the machine to sustain its 50W TDP during demanding workloads. The result is a cooler, more stable device that maintains consistent performance even under heavy use.
ASUS ExpertGuardian is the company's enterprise-grade security suite
Ensuring security and reliability, ASUS ensured that this laptop has a Dual Self-Healing BIOS, meaning that if one gets corrupted (due to malware or failed updates), the backup automatically restores it, keeping the system bootable and secure.
Moreover, it has Microsoft certification that uses advanced protections like virtualization-based security and hardware isolation for firmware attacks, as well as a TPM 2.0 chip (Trusted Platform Module) that stores encryption keys, passwords, and certificates. It’s essential for features like BitLocker drive encryption and secure authentication.
Amazing for entertainment

| The display |
Going back to its display, the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra has some of the sharpest and very best displays we've ever seen on a business laptop. Basically, a treat to the eyes.
One of the best matte laptop displays for me
In particular, it has the 14-inch 3K Tandem OLED touchscreen with an extra-smooth 120Hz refresh rate and HDR 1400 nits of peak brightness.
Colors produced by this panel are some of the best and most accurate on modern work laptops, making it ideal even for professional photo editing, video editing, and general content creation tasks.
Blacks are so deep, making it earn the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification.
Apart from work, this display is also equally impressive for watching 4K HDR Netflix and YouTube videos, as the colors are rich and they generally look absolutely cinematic. Great for winding down.
Even for gaming, the 120Hz refresh rate helps in supported games. Watching here is generally not as fatiguing as older panels we tried. This panel simply excels in dim conditions.
Moreover, it has a matte anti‑reflective and anti-glare display. I find it great for coffee shops where sunlight streams through the windows, allowing me to focus on my work and avoid making my head hurt from the reflections.
Completing the experience, the device has a 6-speaker Dolby Atmos system + AI noise-canceling microphones as well as a 1080p IR webcam.
In my experience, the sound it produces is crisp and full, with better fidelity than most business laptops. Bass is surprisingly deep and punchy for its size. It also gets very loud, staying clear with minimal distortion up to about 85% volume.
The 1080p webcam performs well in good lighting, while the microphone captures voices clearly even at lower volumes, making it a solid choice for online meetings. It also includes a neatly hidden webcam privacy shutter for an added layer of security.
Extra-long battery life
The ASUS laptop packs a 70Wh battery that the brand claims can last up to 26 hours on light usage. In practice, my experience varied depending on workload.
At 60% brightness on Balanced mode, I observed a 2% drop in 15 minutes and about 5% in 30 minutes. Streaming 4K YouTube videos at 50% brightness and 50% volume drained 1% every 4 minutes, while gaming on Diablo IV at full resolution ate through 50% in just an hour.
On the flip side, heavy café sessions with Photoshop, CapCut Pro, and Microsoft apps plus 15 tabs running consumed only 80% after 7 hours, and for light browsing and note‑taking, the laptop impressively stretched to two full days.
Clearly, it delivers all‑day performance anywhere, with battery life adapting to your usage style. It has one of the longest, if not the longest, battery lives among all work laptops I've tried yet.

| Type‑C 90W brick |
Charging with the Type‑C 90W brick remains impressively fast even while gaming, reaching about 40% capacity in just 30 minutes. A full charge under light usage takes roughly 1.5 hours, which means less downtime and more productivity.
This quick turnaround is especially useful for busy professionals and creators who need reliable power on the go, ensuring the laptop is always ready for work, meetings, or entertainment without long waits at the outlet.
