PH-Singapore to expand cooperation in AI

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong met last Wednesday to expand each country's cooperation in different areas, including AI.

Malacañang revealed that the two leaders discussed ways to harness opportunities in AI.

Not much was revealed about the type of AI opportunities, but in essence,  cooperation could position both the Philippines and Singapore as regional leaders in AI innovation, while ensuring that economic and social benefits reach their citizens.

Other talks in the meeting include further cooperation in trade, investment, health, and social development.

The meeting is expected to further strengthen one of Southeast Asia's closest partnerships.

Marcos and Wong reaffirmed ASEAN centrality and pledged to work for a peaceful, stable, and prosperous Southeast Asia.
