Report: Apple Pay is now available in the Philippines

The rumors were true after all. Apple Pay is now available in the Philippines.

Basically, iPhone and Apple Watch users in the Philippines can now add supported debit and credit cards to Apple Wallet for seamless contactless payments.

Cards are added by opening the Wallet app and tapping the "+" button, making Apple Pay setup quick and easy. Yes, it even has Dynamic Island integration.

Users on the subreddit that GIZGUIDE moderates, r/Tech_Philippines, started reporting that they were able to already bind their cards to Apple Pay.

One user with a GoTyme digital bank card was even able to add his Visa card. I also saw a Redditor successfully add UnionBank.

Team GIZGUIDE tested Apple Pay on our iPhone, but the feature isn't live yet. This suggests that the rollout is happening gradually.

Philippine banks have yet to appear on Apple's website, but let's expect them to be available in the coming days.

Basically, Apple Pay in the Philippines makes payments faster, safer, and more convenient by letting iPhone and Apple Watch users tap to pay with supported cards. It uses tokenization and biometric authentication for added security, works across stores, apps, and online.

In January 2026, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas said that Apple Pay may launch in the country anytime.
