Local telco giant Globe today confirmed it is investing in ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (Philippines).

The goal is to meet its data center demand. Globe said that data centers are core infrastructure for the country's digital economy and should be built with resilience and responsibility as critical as roads or power plants.

The Philippine data center market alone is valued at USD 633 million (PHP 38.49 billion) in 2024. It is expected to triple to USD 1.97 billion (around PHP 119.8 billion) by 2030, growing over 20% annually.
