Globe backs PGH Medical Foundation with WiFi and cash donations

Through GoGive and Globe Rewards, Globe donated WiFi devices, cash, and medical equipment to help PGH improve care for underserved patients.

Connectivity meets critical patient care

Globe is supporting the PGH Medical Foundation, Inc. (PGH MFI) through prepaid WiFi and cash donations, aiming to improve healthcare access for underserved Filipinos.

The Philippine General Hospital (PGH) serves as a critical resource for Filipinos who depend on subsidized or charity care, supporting an estimated 600,000 patients annually, including pediatric charity ward patients, newborns, NICU cases, and emergency room patients, many of whom travel long distances for treatment they otherwise couldn't afford.

Last May, Globe Prepaid donated Globe AT HOME 5G WiFi loop devices with one year of load, along with a cash donation, to PGH MFI through GoGIVE, a fundraising platform on the GlobeOne app. The donation followed the campaign reaching its target number of supporting Globe Prepaid customers.

In addition, Globe customers raised approximately PHP 630,000 through Globe Rewards points in 2025 to fund essential medical technologies, including dual phototherapy systems for newborn jaundice treatment, portable ultrasound devices for bedside diagnostics, and compact ultrasound systems supporting imaging across multiple specialties. These tools are intended to enable earlier diagnosis and faster medical intervention for patients and their families.

Beyond equipment, the partnership also supports healthcare frontliners working with limited resources, helping doctors and medical teams make more timely clinical decisions.
