Beastly gaming phone goes global
Most of the hardware is unchanged from the Chinese model, though the global version charges more slowly and has a lower shoulder trigger rating.
The phone comes in two colors: Nightfreeze, a transparent black finish, and Subzero, a transparent silver version. It is slightly thinner than its predecessor at 8.5mm, compared with 8.9mm on the RedMagic 11 Pro.
Additionally, it uses an IP68/69 dust and water resistance rating, while the fans have an IPX8 rating instead.
The front houses a 6.85-inch 1.5K OLED display supplied by BOE. It supports a refresh rate of up to 185Hz, with 0.96mm bezels and no visible camera cutout.
REDMAGIC claims no other phone combines this refresh rate with a full-screen design and an under-display camera. Brightness peaks at 5,000 nits, and touch sampling can reach 5,000Hz. Furthermore, it has an under-display 16MP camera and a fingerprint reader.
Under the hood, the phone runs on a 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, paired with a RedCore R5 gaming chip and a G1 display chip.
Memory options start at 12GB of RAM with 256GB of storage, followed by 16GB with 512GB, and a top configuration with 1TB of storage.
Meanwhile, cooling is handled by the AquaCore Cooling System 3.0, a dual-loop liquid design that now features RGB lighting. A new micro-pump delivers up to 130kPa of pressure, which RedMagic says is 85% higher than the previous pump, while consuming as little as 20mW of power.

The setup also includes a fan that reaches speeds of up to 25,500 RPM, a vapor chamber with 15% more coverage, and Liquid Metal 4.0.
For the battery, it uses an 8,400mAh battery, supported by 80W wired charging, wireless charging, and bypass charging.
On the back, the phone has a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization and a 50MP ultrawide camera.
Meanwhile, the phone also has shoulder triggers that are rated at 520Hz, compared with 700Hz on the Chinese version. Other hardware includes stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and an X-axis linear motor.
For connectivity, the phone offers Wi-Fi 7, 5G, 4G, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, an IR blaster, and dual SIM.
On the software side, it runs REDMAGIC OS 12 based on Android 17, with built-in Gemini support, PC game emulation, and Steam access through the X-Gravity gaming center.
