HONOR X6e launched in PH: Helio G81, 5-star drop resistance, 7,500mAh battery, PHP 15,999 SRP

HONOR today introduced the X6e, a budget-oriented smartphone built around a large-capacity battery and a reinforced chassis.

The device comes in a boxy design offered in Sunrise Gold and Midnight Black finishes, measuring 163.9 x 75.9 x 8.29 mm and weighing 207 grams. 

It carries an SGS 5-Star Premium Performance Certification for drop and crush resistance, having reportedly withstood drops of up to 1.8 meters onto a marble surface under laboratory conditions, along with an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.

The display

On the front, the X6e features a 6.61-inch TFT LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution of 1604 x 720 pixels. HONOR states the screen reaches up to 1,010 nits of peak brightness and includes an Eye Comfort Display feature with dynamic dimming intended to reduce eye strain.

Under the hood, the phone runs on MediaTek's 12nm Helio G81 Ultimate octa-core chipset paired with a Mali-G52 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM, expandable by up to another 4GB through RAM Turbo, and 128GB of internal storage.

Power comes from a 7,500mAh battery that HONOR says can deliver up to two days of use on a single charge, supported by 45W wired fast charging via USB-C. 

The cameras

The company also claims the battery is designed for longevity, retaining up to 80% of its health after six years of use.

For imaging, the X6e is equipped with a 50MP f/1.8 AI Ultra-Clear main camera accompanied by an auxiliary sensor and an LED flash, while the front houses a 5MP f/2.2 selfie camera.

Additional features include a fingerprint sensor, speaker output rated at up to 300% volume, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and dual SIM support.

The smartphone ships with Android 16 as its operating system, layered with HONOR's MagicOS 10.0 interface.
