Pixel 11 goes official

The Google Pixel 11 arrives in four color options: Frost, Hibiscus, Pistachio, and Obsidian, continuing Google's approach of positioning the device between flagship and mid-range territory.

One usability improvement on the design front is a slimmer "camera visor" on the back of the phone, even if it doesn't translate to better image quality.

The vanilla model features a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ (2424 x 1080) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 3,000-nit peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

Powering the device is the Tensor G6, Google's second-generation in-house chipset and the first smartphone chip built on TSMC's 2nm process.

The company said it prioritized power efficiency in this generation, while also promising performance improvements.

Furthermore, the chip is paired with 12GB of RAM, and base storage has doubled to 256GB from 128GB in the previous generation, marking the phone's move away from UFS 3.1 storage.

For battery, the Pixel 11 houses a 4,985mAh battery, which Google says efficiency gains should allow it to last around 30 hours under regular use.

In terms of charging, it features 30W USB-C wired charging and 25W wireless charging.

On the camera front, it uses a 48MP main sensor with a 1/1.56-inch size, f/1.7 aperture, and OIS.

This is paired with a 13MP ultra-wide camera featuring a 120-degree, f/2.2 lens and a 1/3.1-inch sensor, along with a 5x 10.8MP telephoto sensor.

The selfie camera is unchanged from the previous generation, retaining its 10.5MP sensor with an ultra-wide, 95-degree autofocus lens.

Other features noted are stereo speakers, an IP68 dust and water resistance rating, and an Ultrasonic In-Display fingerprint scanner.

Connectivity features are WiFi 6E (2.4GHz/5GHz/6GHz), 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM.

For OS, the phone runs on Android 17 with up to 7 major OS upgrades.

The Google Pixel 11 and its companion models are currently available for pre-order, with general sales set to begin on August 20.
