Moto Pad 70 Groove launched: 9-unit JBL speakers, 2.5K 12.1-inch display, built-in kick stand

The tablet for Netflix and chill?

On design, the Moto Pad 70 Groove sports a premium all-metal body finished in Pantone Blue Surf. It measures 6.8mm in thickness and weighs approximately 775 grams.

Another highlight of the design is the new 360° Kickstand 2.0, which supports Lean, Stand, Theatre, and Hanging viewing modes.

In front, the tablet features a 12.1-inch LCD display with 2.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It supports Dolby Vision and HDR10, covers the DCI-P3 color gamut, and offers a high brightness mode reaching up to 800 nits.

The features

Powering the device is a 2.6GHz 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card.

A 10,200mAh battery drives the Moto Pad 70 Groove and supports 45W TurboPower fast charging. 

Motorola states that the battery can deliver up to 15 hours of YouTube streaming on a single charge, while a 10-minute charge can provide up to 2 hours of use.

For imaging, the tablet houses a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

Another highlight is the JBL 9-unit Pro Speaker System comprising four tweeters, three woofers, and two passive radiators, with support for Dolby Atmos. 

The tablet can also double as a standalone Bluetooth speaker. Its Live Transcript feature supports real-time translation across more than 40 languages. The box also includes a clear protective case.

On connectivity, the device supports WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4.

The Moto Pad 70 Groove ships with Android 16 out of the box and is confirmed to receive two major Android upgrades, up to Android 18, along with four years of security updates.

The tablet is currently available in India via Flipkart and the official site. No word yet if Motorola will bring this here in the Philippines.
