OPPO A7 Pro Max launched: Snapdragon 4 Gen 5, 10,000mAh battery, and quad IP ratings

OPPO officially unveiled the A7 Pro Max 5G, the latest entry in its A-series lineup featuring a massive battery and a new entry-level Qualcomm chip.

In terms of colors and design, the OPPO A7 Pro Max is offered in three finishes: Wave Rider, Orange Glow, and Mountain Black. Furthermore, the device has quad IP protection such as IP66/68/69/69K.

The device is equipped with a 6.78-inch flexible AMOLED display, offering a 1.5K resolution of 2772 x 1272 pixels. 

The panel supports a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 10-bit color depth, and peak brightness of up to 1,800 nits. For gaming, the display can reach a touch sampling rate of up to 330Hz in select scenarios.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the 2.4 GHz, 4nm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 octa-core processor with an Adreno GPU. The system is paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

The features

Battery performance is the standout feature of the device, centered on a 10,000mAh cell that OPPO calls its Glacier Battery, built using the company's proprietary spherical silicon-carbon battery technology. 

Charging is handled through 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging and 80W UFCS charging, while the device also supports 27W reverse charging.

The rear camera setup pairs a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization alongside a 2MP monochrome sensor, complemented by an LED flash and a notification LED. 

On the selfie side, it uses a 50MP front shooter. OPPO notes that both the front and rear cameras are capable of recording video at up to 1080p.

Additional features include an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers capable of reaching up to 300% volume, and an infrared blaster. 

The device also includes an AI-powered outdoor mode 2.0 designed to enhance visibility in bright conditions.

Connectivity features are WiFi 5 (2.4GHz/5GHz), 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM.

On the software side, the OPPO A7 Pro Max runs ColorOS 16, based on Android 16.
