Smoother display and larger battery
This will be the brand's flagship killer for 2026. However, they did not opt to use a new-gen Qualcomm chip. It still packs one of the most power processor in the market.
To start, the POCO F9 Ultra comes in Black and Dark Cherry, built around a metal frame with a fiberglass back panel and a Dynamic Light element on the rear. The device measures 8.74mm thick and weighs 235g.
Meanwhile, it also retained the IP68 dust and water resistance of the predecessor.
The phone uses a 6.9-inch Gorilla Glass 7i-protected AMOLED display with a resolution of 2608 x 1200 and a 19.56:9 aspect ratio, 185Hz refresh rate, 4500 max brightness, 4800Hz touch sampling rate, 68B colors through 10-bit plus 2-bit color depth, and includes DC dimming, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+ support.

Another highlight of the screen is the ultra-thin bezels measuring 1.5mm on the top and sides and 1.68mm on the bottom.
Inside, it uses the 4.6GHz 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 octa-core processor with Adreno GPU. It is also paired with a dedicated VisionBoost D8 graphics chipset and a WildBoost Engine that coordinates frame rates, touch response, visual processing, thermal management, and power efficiency.
Meanwhile, the phone is available in memory and storage configurations of 12GB/16GB RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB storage options.
Battery capacity stands at a massive 8,050mAh, while charging is supported at USB-C 100W wired and 50W wireless through HyperCharge, with reverse charging available at up to 27W wired and 22.5W wireless, along with smart charging management.
For cameras, it uses a 200MP f/1.68 Samsung H5 sensor with a size of 1/1.56 inches; an OIS + 50MP f/3.05 JN5 5x periscope OIS + 50MP ultra-wide camera
Managing selfies is the 32MP front camera with a Smart Aperture feature for group photos.

Furthermore, it uses an audio system tuned by Bose, consisting of a 2.1-channel triple-speaker setup with dual symmetrical 1115D stereo speakers and an independent 1620 subwoofer.
The audio system offers Dynamic and Balanced sound profiles with 15-level graded tuning across frequency ranges.
Imaging software features shared across the lineup include Live Cinematography, Portrait Live, Freestyle Live, Portrait Live Moment, Video to Live Moment, and an AI Creativity Assistant suite covering image enhancement, beautification, reflection removal, and cutouts.
For connectivity, the Ultra is equipped with seven dedicated gaming antennas and two T1+ tuner chipsets to reduce signal interference during landscape gaming, along with eSIM support.
The device ships with Xiaomi HyperOS 3.1 and includes Xiaomi Offline Communication functionality.
