No more low battery problems?
According to the brand, they are positioning the device around battery longevity, build durability, and a high-resolution display.
The phone is available in black, white, and orange, weighs 223 grams, and carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. Poco states the device has passed a two-meter, 72-hour water-resistance test as well as a three-meter drop test.

The POCO X8 features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 2772 x 1280, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an instantaneous 3,200Hz touch sampling rate.
The panel has a claimed peak brightness of 3,500 nits and a typical brightness of 1,060 nits, with support for 12-bit color depth and the DCI-P3 color gamut.
Additional display features include DC dimming, 3,840Hz PWM dimming, and TÜV Rheinland certifications covering low blue light, flicker-free operation, and circadian-friendly viewing. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Powering the device is a 2.4GHz 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 octa-core processor with an Adreno GPU.
The phone is offered with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with the 256GB configuration using faster UFS 3.1 storage while the 128GB version relies on UFS 2.2.
Battery capacity stands at 8,340mAh, using silicon-carbon cell technology, paired with 67W wired HyperCharge and 22.5W wired reverse charging support.
Poco says the battery retains at least 80 percent of its original capacity after 1,600 charge cycles, and the phone supports USB Power Delivery 2.0 and 3.0.
For imaging, the rear setup includes a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization alongside a 2-megapixel depth sensor, while the front houses a 16MP selfie camera.
Both the front and rear cameras are capable of recording video at up to 1080p resolution and 30 frames per second.
Additional features include stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, an AI Erase tool, and dual-video recording capability.
On connectivity, the Poco X8 includes NFC and an infrared blaster.
The device ships running Xiaomi's HyperOS 3, with built-in access to Google Gemini and Circle to Search.
