Underscoring the reliability of its voice services
The NTC's drive tests showed Smart posted an average call drop ratio of zero percent, meeting the regulator's threshold of below 2%.
Smart also logged peak mobile broadband speeds of 377 Mbps along San Francisco Street in Mandaluyong City.
Our zero-percent call drop ratio in the latest NTC tests is a positive result for voice-call reliability. We remain committed to working closely with the NTC to assess network performance, address areas for improvement, and deliver a more dependable mobile experience for our customers, said Debbie Hu, FVP and Head of Network Build and Implementation at PLDT and Smart.
The telco added that they remain committed to working closely with the regulator to address areas of concern while continuing to strengthen network quality and enhance customer experience.
Smart also cited positive results from the Department of Information and Communications Technology's (DICT) September 2026 Oplan Bantay Signal report, which provides a separate assessment of mobile network performance.
In the latest report, Smart maintained its "Good" overall rating with a score of 80.3 and an average download speed of 52.22 Mbps, making it the fastest mobile network under the assessment. Smart also recorded zero crisis cities nationwide for the fifth consecutive month, with all measured cities exceeding 15 Mbps.
To recall, Smart was also recognized by Ookla for delivering the Best Mobile Video Experience in the Philippines for the first half of 2026, with a Video Score of 72.82—the highest among mobile operators in the country.
