vivo has announced that its upcoming V80 will be offered in a new color option called Starwish Purple, ahead of the device's arrival in the Philippines.

According to vivo, the colorway uses a technology it calls Laser Holographic Lithography to produce what the company describes as a "True 3D Stellar Design."

The layered finish on the back cover is designed to create a galaxy-like effect, with patterns and reflections that change depending on the angle and type of light. The company said the look is intended to appeal mainly to younger users, including Gen Z consumers.

The phone's design

The V80 was first teased in a Facebook post by vivo Philippines featuring Jake, Jungwon, and Sunghoon of the K-pop group ENHYPEN, who were recently announced as vivo Friends. The post gave an early look at the device before its local release.

Beyond the color, vivo said the phone has a one-piece, cold-carved glass body. The company said the surface is designed to be smooth and comfortable to hold and to resist dust buildup. The rear camera sits in a floating module.

vivo has not yet released further details on the Philippine launch, including pricing and availability, but said an announcement is expected soon.

Updates are available through vivo Philippines' official Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and X accounts, as well as the company's website at vivoglobal.ph.
