IDC's data also showed that OPPO and Vivo are also both on the rise. However, Apple, Xiaomi, and other brands saw sales on decline. For example, Apple had the largest slump, the tech giant is down to 26.7% in year-over-year in China.

Note: IDC expects overall growth in the Chinese smartphone market in 2017 to be lower than in 2016, which saw growth of 8.6%. The first half of the year will see a flat trend and growth will pick up in the second half.

This data also confirmed the previous report of Canalys on Chinese smartphone sales for quarter number 1 of 2017!
