Infinix HOT 70 launched: Helio G100, color changing back, and 6,000mAh battery

Infinix has officially unveiled the HOT 70, the first entry in its new HOT 70 Series.

The company also confirmed that additional variants, including the Pro and the rumored Pro+, will be announced at a later date.

A standout element of the HOT 70 is its Thermo Orange colorway, which features thermochromic paint that shifts between a darker shade, called Quiet Orange, and a brighter tone, called Playful Orange, depending on the device's temperature. 

Additional color options include Green Texture, Quiet Violet, Dive Blue, Silver Dancer, and Night Pulse. The device measures 7.49mm in thickness and weighs 195 grams.

Furthermore, it has an IP65 dust and water resistance for added protection.

The HOT 70 features a 6.78-inch IPS LCD panel with a 1576 x 720 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the 2.2GHz 6nm MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate chipset with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It is offered in four memory configurations: 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, 6GB/256GB, and 8GB/256GB.

The device is equipped with a 6,000mAh battery, notable given its slim profile, and supports 45W wired charging and 10W reverse charging.

The cameras

On the camera side, the HOT 70 carries a 50MP f/1.9 primary rear camera accompanied by a secondary lens, the purpose of which Infinix has not specified. A depth-sensing function is likely, though unconfirmed. The front camera is an 8MP f/2.0 unit.

A programmable hardware button is also present, allowing users to assign shortcuts to apps or system features.

Connectivity features are WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), 4G, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and dual SIM.

The HOT 70 ships with Android 16 and Infinix's XOS 16 interface.
