Following Xiaomi's footsteps, it appears that Motorola is the next smartphone maker that will partner with Google to release a midrange Android One smartphone.

According to Evan Blass, the well known leakster, Motorola is set to launch an Android One Edition of the new Moto X4 just like what Xiaomi did with the release of Mi A1, the Android One version of Mi 5X.

Since Motorola ships mostly stock Android, it is likely that the change that the Android One version of Moto X4 won't be that big.

However, it will get faster updates and fewer pre-installed apps just like the Nexus and Pixels phones.
