Today, Qualcomm has launched the new Snapdragon 636 octa core processor. It's the upgrade of Snapdragon 630 chip which comes w/ 40% better performance.

The Snapdragon 636 is built under 14nm FinFet process that features Qualcomm's Kryo CPU under the ARM Cortex technology. It highlights enhanced connectivity options, enhanced gaming, advanced photography, longer battery life, faster charging speed, and speedier overall performance coming from its predecessor.

In particular, the Snapdragon 636 comes w/ the new Adreno 509 graphics for gaming and has the Snapdragon X12 LTE modem for up to 600 Mbps downlink speeds. That's 2x faster than the previous generation.

It also has Qualcomm Spectra ISP for up to dual 16 MP camera setups or a single 24 MP camera w/ zero shutter lag, smooth zoom, fast autofocus, and true-to-life colors.

In addition, this has the Qualcomm Aqstic audio codec which supports HiFi audio up to 192 kHz / 24 bit, Bluetooth 5.0, up to 8 GB dual channel LPDDR4 RAM support, Quick Charge 4.0 technology.

It will be available to the market this November 2017.
